Not Much Going On

It's been a couple weeks since my last post and I thought I should post something. Not a lot has been going on in the Wesley household, so this is going to be another short post with lots of pictures of Keilani. I'm counting down the days until school is out and I'm done teaching. After this school year is over I'm going to stay home with Keilani. I've been teaching for 5 years, so it's definitely going to be weird not going back to teaching once the school year starts up again. It's kind of scary leaving my stable job, especially with the economy the way it is, but I feel really good about it.
Here are some things that Keilani is doing. She has been experimenting with her voice and now has discovered how to scream. She doesn't scream when she's mad. It's almost like she wants to see how high she can scream. It's kind of funny. She wants to sit up all the time. If I put her in her bouncer, she tries to sit up. She does well at sitting up with the boppy pillow around her. She doesn't like the bumbo much anymore. She is always trying to get out of it. She absolutely loves to kick her legs, which makes bathing, changing diapers, and putting clothes on a real task. She also loves to put anything and everything in her mouth. If she gets a hold of your finger, you better believe it's going straight in her mouth and it takes about .5 seconds to get there. Keilani loves to watch sports with TG. I don't know if it's the movement or what, but anytime a basketball game is on and she's sitting by TG, she's glued to the TV. For some reason she has been waking up at 6:00 am this week and doesn't want to go back to sleep. I wake up to her talking and squeeling in her crib. When I go check on her she is playing with her blanket and wide awake. I try to get her to go back to sleep, but she is wide eyed and not tired. I hope this is just a phase and that she will go back to waking up at 7:30 am. I thought waking up at 7:30 am was bad, but I'll take that over 6:00 am. Okay I'm done.
