So long Memphis!

Tomorrow morning TG, Keilani, and I will be packing up our car (with more stuff then we came out with) and finally heading home to Utah. We had an awesome summer, but we are ready to come back to our house, sleep in our own bed, and see our friends and family.

Things I'm going to miss about living Memphis, TN

All the trees- it's incredible how green Tennessee is.
Blue Bell Ice Cream- TG and I are obsessed with it.
All the awesome friends we made while living there.
Costco because it was never busy.
Going to the sprinkler park with friends.
Going to Sonic right after the sprinkler park for Happy Hour.
All the great BBQ places (Central BBQ and Corkys).
But most of all, I'm going to miss living so close to my sister Mindi and her family.

Things I'm not going to miss about living in Memphis, TN

The bugs.
The humidity.
Living on the top floor and having our room and Keilani's room above our neighbors' garages.
The crazy weather: Tornadoes and Thunderstorms (there were two tornadoes that touched down while we lived there).

9 months old

Keilani turned 9 months old on Monday. I can't believe that in 3 months she will be a year old, that's crazy. Anyway, I feel like she has grown so much this last month. Here are some fun things about Keilani at 9 months:

  • Pulls herself to standing position and then can sit down from standing position
  • Cruises around using the furniture
  • Crawls very fast and loves to chase people
  • Claps when you tell her to
  • Has 6 teeth (4 on top and 2 on bottom)
  • Loves to eat solids, but is also still nursing
  • Loves to feed herself
  • Can crawl up stairs, but cannot go down
  • Loves to play with any type of ball
  • Will bounce up and down when she hears music
  • Loves to copy anything that her cousin Aiden does, he is 17 months old
Sporting her cougar blue for the big game

Cougars in the house! Woo woo!

Chickasaw and Memphis Zoo

A couple weeks ago we went to Chickasaw State Park with some friends. It had a cute lake with a beach next to it. It was awesome because there we were basically the only people there. I'm not a fan of crowded places, probably because I'm a little claustrophobic. Tennessee is such a beautiful state. My favorite part is how much greenery there is.

It was such a cute little lake

The Memphis crew, minus Starla who was taking the picture.
These girls are awesome and have made our summer so much fun.

THE MEMPHIS ZOO

That same week we also went to the Memphis Zoo. It was very hot and humid that day, but was fun.

Keilani getting sick of her stroller and wanting to climb out

She zonked out at the end

I wish someone would push me in a stroller while I took a nap.
