On Sunday Utah State found out that they were going to the NCAA tournament in Spokane, WA. TG and I decided that we would go along with TG's brother Tika and his wife Carli. We left Thursday night at 7:00 pm and got to Spokane early Friday morning. The drive was a little scary because when it was my turn to drive it started to snow, plus there was a ton of wind and black ice. Being the cautious driver that I am (we were going about 30 miles per hour at one point), we were able to get through the storm safely. We got to Spokane and weren't able to check into our hotel room until noon, so we went to the mall and waited for the stores to open. We shopped a little, checked into our room, and then headed to the Spokane Veterans Memorial Arena for the game. Our seats were way better than last year in Boise, but it was still hard to get descent pictures, so I borrowed some from the local newspapers. Tai had to wear a mask to protect his nose that was broken by one of the NMSU players at the WAC tournament. Though Utah State lost, Tai played good and we are so proud of him and the incredible season that he had with Utah State. It's sad to see the season come to an end because we love going up to Logan and watching Tai play ball. Tai has one more year at Utah State, so hopefully they will be back in the tournament next year. After the game we went to the Maynes, who are family friends of the Wesleys back when they lived in Guam. They were super nice and fed us dinner. After that we went straight to bed because we were exhausted. We woke up the next morning and headed back home. It was a fun little trip even though it was cut short. Here are some pictures from Spokane-- I bet you can't tell which ones I took ;)
