What we've been up to...

We've been trying to keep ourselves busy this summer by going to the pool, for walks in the park, to the Memphis Children's Museum, to the sprinkler park, and to Sonic for happy hour. There are a group of really cool girls (who are also moms) in our ward that we (me and the other wives in our office) hang out with. They are always getting together and doing fun things, so it has really made this summer fun. Here are some pictures of what we've been up to lately.

We decided to take a boat ride down the Mississippi River

TG trying to keep Keilani entertained by feeding her puffs

Keilani screaming at her friend Hudson

I went to Gap the other day and couldn't resist buying this hat for Keilani.
She kept it on for .2 seconds.

Keilani loves it when her papa reads to her.

She'll actually sit still and pay attention when TG reads to her, but when I try to read to her it doesn't last very long. Daddy's obviously a more entertaining reader than I am.

Keilani is 7 months (and a week) old

Keilani turned 7 months a week ago, so this post is a little late. I can't believe my baby is already 7 months old. Her personality is really coming out now and I love it. She's already a little character and very energetic, which sometimes makes nap time interesting. Sometimes I'll put her down for a nap and she'll play around/"talk" for a good 30-40 minutes before she finally zonks out. Her crawling skills are getting more efficient and make my job a lot harder. If she sees any kind of cord she tries to get over to it before I notice. She has always been one to put anything she finds directly into her mouth. Now that she is so mobile I have to make sure I vacuum more frequently. Last weekend Mindi came down and we were talking when we noticed Keilani booking it toward the chair in the living room. She went right behind it, so I looked to see what was there. I didn't see anything, but I saw Keilani chewing on something. I did a little sweep of her mouth and found a MOTH! It was so gross, but she looked at me like, "what mom?" She loves eating her solid food and especially loves to feed herself cheerios and peas. She also loves to look in the mirror. One of her toys is a little pyramid that has a mirror on it. One morning I was watching her play and she was playing pick a boo with herself. She would look in the mirror then move to the side and then look in the mirror again and squeal with excitement. It was so cute! I love this girl so much and love watching her grow.

Here are some more pictures we took of her on Sunday in her cute outfit that my mom gave her.

The Fourth of July

This year we got together and had a BBQ with some friends in our ward here in Memphis. Our ward has a lot of cute young couples in it. Most of them are out here because the husbands are finishing up school. The BBQ was a lot of fun plus there was so much good food. Thanks to the Rehrers for inviting us and hosting such an awesome BBQ.

Keilani did not want to look at the camera.

Keilani was fascinated by the fireworks.

Visit to Utah

Keilani and I went to Utah for 10 days and we had so much fun. We spent a lot of our time hanging out with family. My mom's side of the family had a family reunion in St. George the weekend got in.
Keilani had so much fun swimming in her crab.

Keilani's been scrunching her nose up when she smiles. I didn't know where she got it from until my sister pointed out that I always do it to Keilani when I smile at her.

After a day out in the pool she is pooped.

She loved sitting in her own chair.

Keilani and Cutler eating their puffs.

She loves chewing on her floaty.

On our way home from St. George we were able to stop by for a BBQ with the Wesleys. This is a picture with all 7 of the Wesley grandchildren.

Trying to get all 7 to look at the camera at the same time and smile was impossible.

Keilani with her uncle Tai and cousin Mia.

She loves balloons.

Keilani with her uncle Mekeli.

We hung out at Daren and Mandy's house a lot. Keilani loved their dog, Cooper.

Keilani trying to get a booger out of Alisa's nose.

Keilani loved having a buddy in the car.

At the Oquirrh Mountain Temple open house. I thought that Keilani would fall asleep during the tour, but no she thought it was a good time to test out her "talking" skills.

She finally zonked out right before we got to the car to go home.

We went took Aiden and Keilani to Thanksgiving point to see the animals.

We even got to go on a carriage ride.

We went swimming at the Scera Pool in Orem. Keilani loves to drink from a straw. This was the only size sippy cup they had with a straw, it's almost as big as she is.

Kai wanted a drink too.

Another attempt to get them all to look at the camera at the same time. Of course it failed, but it's still cute.
