3 months old

Mr. Tau turned 3 months old on the 9th. He has grown so much in the last month. TG gave him his first haircut a couple weeks ago and I think it looks so cute. He looks like a little man. Here are some of the things he's doing at 3 months:
  • talks all the time, especially if someone is holding him.
  • is a little squirmy thing. I will lay him on his boppy pillow and 2 seconds later he has scooted himself down off of it.
  • is not a high maintenance baby. He will just hang out and doesn't need to be entertained 24/7 like his older sister did at his age.
  • loves to chew on his tongue
  • likes tummy time a little more
  • loves when you sing to him
  • doesn't like it when I swaddle him with his arms tucked in
  • can control his head pretty good.
  • loves to sit up and tries to sit all the way up in his bouncer.

Grandma Kendall

My sweet grandma Kendall passed away Tuesday, February 22. I knew this day would come eventually, but it is still hard for me to grasp that she isn't here on Earth anymore. I love my grandma Kendall so much and have so many great memories of her. She loved to clean and always had a spotless house. I loved when she would come stay with us while my parents were out of town because that would mean our house would get deep cleaned. My grandma only had 9 grandchildren, so she able to spend a lot of quality time with us. My favorite thing was our annual sleepover in the summer with all the granddaughters.

For the last 15 years she has been battling Parkinson's disease and it progressively got worse and worse. She lived in a nursing home for a bit, but about a year ago my mom was able to bring her home. I was able to take care of my grandma twice a week for about 9 months until I had Tau. I'm so glad I was able to spend that time with my grandma. I absolutely loved watching Keilani interact with my grandma. My grandma was in a wheelchair and had a hard time speaking, but Keilani thought she was the greatest thing ever. Keilani would climb up on her lap and sit there 10-20 minutes at a time. Even when I knew it was super uncomfortable for my grandma to have Keilani on her lap she would insist that Keilani stay there. Keilani would give her kisses over and over throughout the day.

We had her funeral last Friday. It was a great service and celebration of her life. As hard as it is to not have my grandma here anymore I know that she is in a better place, reunited with my grandpa, my aunt, her parents, and siblings who have passed on.

Here is her obituary:

Senior Night

Saturday was senior night for TG's brother Tai. It's kind of a big deal, so his parents and aunts flew in for the game. TG and I have gone to most of Tai's games in Logan for the last four years. It has been so much fun to watch Tai over the years and I'm kind of sad that we won't be going to anymore games in Logan. Anyway, the game was a little crazy trying to figure out where everyone was going to sit because their were 24 family members there to watch Tai. The game was great, USU won and Tai played awesome. Keilani just loves her uncle Tai and especially loves to cheer him on whenever he plays. I'm so excited because we're going down to Vegas next week with TG's parents and all of his siblings to watch the Aggies play in the WAC tournament.

So I brought my camera to the game, but didn't take any pictures because I had to feed my hungry child. The only pictures I have are from our friend's iphone.

Cutting down the nets because they are WAC champions for the 4th year in a row!
