A few pictures

We're really enjoying our summer out here in Mississippi, despite the humidity. We are heading down to the coast this weekend, so we're excited about that. Keilani is especially excited to be able to go to the beach. There's not a whole lot to update on us. Here are a couple pictures I took over the last couple weeks.
I bought these adorable ballet flats for Keilani and as soon as
she put them on she started dancing and wouldn't hold still for the camera.

I know that this picture is really blurry, but I just love Keilani's face in it.

Each couple with kids takes turns babysitting all the kids while the rest of the couples go on a date. It was our turn to babysit a couple weeks ago. This is a picture of all the kids in our office except for Steeler, he was already asleep, and KJ and Mia. We have such a fun group and I love how much it's grown over the years. 3 years ago we all went out to sell in California and there were only 5 kids at that time and now there are 16 kids in our office. I really love our group.

Six Years!

Today is TG and my 6 year anniversary! Wow how time flies. I love it because we got married on a Wednesday and this year our anniversary is on a Wednesday. I remember that day as if it were yesterday. I can honestly say that I love him more than I did 6 years ago and that love continues to grow. He is my best friend and is all I ever wanted and more in a husband. TG is the absolute best dad to Keilani and Tau. I love how much he does for his kids, he is a very involved dad. I'm especially grateful to have been sealed to TG for all eternity. I love you so much TG!

Tau is 6 months!!

My little man is 6 months old today. I can't believe it's already been six months since I had this little guy! Tau is such an easy going baby. He's pretty content with just hanging out unless he is hungry or tired. The poor guy had a rough 1 1/2 months trying to fight off the same ear infection, but you would have never known that anything was wrong. He didn't have a fever and wasn't extremely fussy either. He had to go through 3 different antibiotics to get the stupid thing up to completely clear up. Then last week he was acting fussy, so I thought for sure it was his ears again. I took him to the doctor and he said, "his ears look completely fine, but it looks like he's about to get his two bottom teeth." Sure enough you could see that his gums were swollen. The first tooth broke through last night and the one next to it should be breaking through any day. Here are some things he is doing at 6 months:
  • Rolling from his stomach to his back and his back to his stomach.
  • Sits on his own for a good amount of time.
  • Starting to eat solids. Loves eating oatmeal, bananas, and peas.
  • Loves to grab anything and everything in front of him, which makes eating with him on my lap impossible.
  • Is very ticklish, I love it!
  • Loves to look at himself in the mirror.
  • Will laugh hysterically anything his older sister does.
  • Puts everything in his mouth.
  • Loves to put his foot in his mouth and suck on it.
We feel so blessed to have Tau in our lives. He brings so much joy to our little family, we love him so much.

This is just before he toppled over.

Happy Half-Birthday Lani Girl

Today is Keilani's half birthday and because I haven't done a post on her for a while I thought today would be a great time to do one. This girl is definitely a character and constantly keeps us on our toes. She has grown up so much in the last couple months and is no longer a baby :( Here are some things about Keilani at 30 months:
  • She loves to talk. I often find her in the bathroom looking at the mirror and repeating conversations she's had with me or other people that day. It's so cute.
  • She has been potty trained since the middle of March (which I forgot to blog about). She had been bugging me about going on the potty since November and I kept telling her not yet, not yet because I had only heard horror stories about potty training. I finally decided to give it a try and told myself that if she wasn't ready we would stop and try again later. It took her no time at all to pick it up. She was potty trained within days, it was amazing. I honestly didn't think it would go that smoothly. I think it was so easy because she was ready and really wanted to do it.
  • Keilani is very social and absolutely loves to play with her cousins and friends.
  • She has a great imagination and loves to imitate. I love watching her play with her dolls.
  • She loves reading books, coloring, and drawing.
  • She loves the pool and is getting really good at kicking under the water. I bought her a life jacket called a puddle jumper that has been the best thing ever. Keilani can float on her own with it on and if she were ever to fall in the pool it would flip her on her back so she would be able to breathe. It's awesome.
  • Her favorite movies to watch are Pollyanna, The Happiest Millionare, and Tangled. I love all three movies, so I don't mind that they are constantly on.
  • Keilani is always on the move. The only time she stops is when she is sleeping, eating, or watching a movie.
  • She has discovered how to do a somersault and does them all over the house. It freaks TG out. He thinks she's going to break her neck.
  • Keilani loves being a big sister and her brother thinks she is the funniest thing ever. Tau's face lights up the second he sees Keilani, it's adorable.
  • She still takes a 1 1/2-2 hour nap every day, which I am grateful for.
  • She loves to say prayers every night and is actually pretty good at saying them by herself.
  • I love this girl so much, even the days when she tests my patience.

One year away from 30!

On Tuesday I turned 29. I honestly feel like it was just yesterday I was a little girl with no care in the world. Time really flies! I had a fabulous birthday. It started off with me sleeping in until 10. I was then woken up by Keilani and some of the little kiddos in our group singing happy birthday. It was adorable. My sister-in-law made me an awesome cake and cupcakes, thanks Carli. Then TG, Keilani, Tau, and I went to lunch before TG had to go to work. When TG got home we had cake and ice cream. Then I went to a movie with all the girls out here in MS. It was a fun filled day. It's crazy to think that next year I will be 30- crazy!
