Not Much Going On

It's been a couple weeks since my last post and I thought I should post something. Not a lot has been going on in the Wesley household, so this is going to be another short post with lots of pictures of Keilani. I'm counting down the days until school is out and I'm done teaching. After this school year is over I'm going to stay home with Keilani. I've been teaching for 5 years, so it's definitely going to be weird not going back to teaching once the school year starts up again. It's kind of scary leaving my stable job, especially with the economy the way it is, but I feel really good about it.
Here are some things that Keilani is doing. She has been experimenting with her voice and now has discovered how to scream. She doesn't scream when she's mad. It's almost like she wants to see how high she can scream. It's kind of funny. She wants to sit up all the time. If I put her in her bouncer, she tries to sit up. She does well at sitting up with the boppy pillow around her. She doesn't like the bumbo much anymore. She is always trying to get out of it. She absolutely loves to kick her legs, which makes bathing, changing diapers, and putting clothes on a real task. She also loves to put anything and everything in her mouth. If she gets a hold of your finger, you better believe it's going straight in her mouth and it takes about .5 seconds to get there. Keilani loves to watch sports with TG. I don't know if it's the movement or what, but anytime a basketball game is on and she's sitting by TG, she's glued to the TV. For some reason she has been waking up at 6:00 am this week and doesn't want to go back to sleep. I wake up to her talking and squeeling in her crib. When I go check on her she is playing with her blanket and wide awake. I try to get her to go back to sleep, but she is wide eyed and not tired. I hope this is just a phase and that she will go back to waking up at 7:30 am. I thought waking up at 7:30 am was bad, but I'll take that over 6:00 am. Okay I'm done. Here are a few pictures we've taken.

Stats and Rolling Over

We went to Keilani's 4 month check up today and it was worse than her 2 month appointment. Last time she didn't cry as hard or for as long as this time. I really had to fight back my tears because Keilani's cry just broke my heart. I know that immunizations are important, but I just wish they didn't have to give so many. Once we got home Keilani did really well. She only cried once she woke up from her nap and realized that kicking her legs didn't feel so swell. Here are her stats:

Length: 24 1/4"- 50th %tile
Weight: 12 lbs 1 oz- 25th %tile
Head: 41.5 cm- 50th %tile

Today Keilani decided that she would roll from her back to her stomach. This morning I put her on her back to play with her toy and ran to use the bathroom. While I was in there I could hear her making grunting noises. I just thought she was getting mad because I had left her. When I came back I found Kei on her stomach with her hands stuck underneath her body. At first I couldn't remember if I had put her on her back or stomach. Well I put her on her back again and went into the kitchen to get some breakfast. When I looked back to check on Keilani there she was on her stomach again. She continued to practice her rolling skills all day today even after her shots. She still has a hard time getting her arms out from under her. Here are a couple videos of her rolling today.

Keilani is 4 months old!

Keilani turned 4 months old on Tuesday. I don't take her for her well-baby exam until Monday, so I'll have an update on her stats then. I can't believe I have a 4 month old. It seems like yesterday I was in the hospital holding my precious little girl. Time flies by especially because we're busy, busy, busy in the Wesley household. Keilani is such a good baby and I cherish every minute I get to spend with her. My absolute favorite thing is getting her out of her crib in the morning and seeing her priceless smile. Her smile just melts my heart. Here are some of my favorite pictures we've taken over the last couple days.

**For those of you who probably think I'm a freak because I still cover Keilani's hands, I only cover them when she goes to bed because they get so cold at night and when she goes to church because people touch her hands and then she loves inserting them right into her mouth.
