Cute video of my girl!

For the last month Keilani has been trying to grasp the concept of clapping. She would clap, but with closed fists, it was pretty funny. Every day TG sings the same song, "My Hands Are Clapping" (probably not the real name of it, oh well), to Keilani that his dad usually sings to all the grandkids. The other day she finally started to clap with her hands unclenched, it was so cute. So here is a video of her clapping to the song. Don't mind my beautiful singing voice. I probably should have recorded TG singing, but oh well.

Quick Trip to Utah

TG's brother came home from his mission a couple weeks ago and was going to be in Utah for a couple days before heading back to Hawaii. We really wanted to see him, so we decided that we would take a quick trip to Utah. We left early Saturday morning and came back Monday night. The plane ride there wasn't too bad. As soon as we got into Utah we headed down to Orem for Keli'i's homecoming party. It was so much fun to hang out with family and friends. The weather was really cool, which was a nice change from the humidity in Memphis.

Keilani discovered her love for leaves. She wouldn't keep them out of her mouth. She suddenly started choking, so when I looked in her mouth I saw a leaf. She hurried and swallowed it before I could even get it out.

Kei loves to play with her daddy.

Keilani hanging out with Kai, Vea, and Kelly- she absolutely loves hanging out with other kids.

We were pretty tired of taking pictures by this point.

Week in Nashville

Keilani and I headed up to Nashville last week because my sister, Mindi was going to get induced on Thursday. Keilani loves to visit her cousin Aiden and she especially loves all his cool toys. It was fun hanging out with Ernie, Mindi, and Aiden before their new arrival. It was even better to be there when Mindi had Caleb. Here are some pictures from last week.

This is the best thing, especially with two very mobile children.
I'm going to have to buy one when I get back to Utah.

Keilani loved riding in Aiden's car.

She liked eating it even more.

Meet Caleb

My sister, Mindi, gave birth to Caleb Jordan Rivas today around 11 am. He weighed 7 lbs and was 19.5 inches long. As you can see, he has a ton of black hair, just like his older brother did when he was born. He is so adorable and little! I forget how little newborn babies are. I'm so glad that I was able to be there to see him after he was born. Mindi and Caleb are both doing well.

Ernie, Mindi, Aiden, and Caleb Rivas. I hope Mindi doesn't mind that I put a picture of her that was taken an hour after giving birth, but I think she looks awesome and it's such a cute family picture.

I caught Aiden and Keilani holding hands on the way to the hospital.

Miss Keilani is 8 months old!

Today Keilani turned 8 months old. I love this girl so much! It's been so much fun being able to stay home with her. These are some things Keilani is doing at 8 months:

-She can crawl on all fours and gets faster by the minute (she definitely keeps me on my toes).
-She can pull herself up to a standing position most of the time, but sometimes gets stuck and can't figure out how to get down.
-She has her two bottom teeth and two more are coming in right next to them.
-She waves to say hello.
-When I show her a picture of me and TG and ask her where papa is, she will point to TG.
-She is very curious and loves to get into everything!
-She loves any kind of food I give her and thinks that she is entitled to whatever TG and I are eating (she's become quite the beggar).
-She gets so excited when other kids are around.
-She will only cuddle right before bed, when she is exhausted.
-She's been practicing clapping, but still hasn't figured out how to clap with all her fingers extended.
-She loves all teddy bears. We were at the Children's Museum and all of a sudden Keilani got really excited about something across the room. I looked and it was a gigantic teddy bear sitting up in a display.

This is her toy box and she has discovered how to get into it. It's been kind of nice because this little activity will entertain her for quite a while.

This is Keilani's latest obsession. She loves to play with her carseat.

She thinks that one day she'll get to that computer.
