My Reschke family had a reunion on Gleneden Beach, Oregon last week. TG, Keilani, and I flew into Portland, OR Sunday night and were so lucky to stay the night with TG's aunt Doris. Monday morning we met up with my family and hung around downtown Portland and then set off for Gleneden Beach. My family rented a cute beach house that overlooked the ocean, it was perfect. It was only in the 60's the entire week, but it was a great break from the Utah heat. We spent the week eating, playing lots of card games, walking on the beach, playing in the sand, going to the aquarium, eating fish and chips, shopping, having bonfires on the beach, looking for rocks and seashells, and hanging out with family-- it was so much fun. The trip was super relaxing and just what I needed. Here are a bunch of pictures from our trip:

TG, Doris, and uncooperative Keilani

Keilani wanted to get in the water so badly, but if you've been to the Oregon coast you know that the water is ice cold. We let her put her feet in and she still wanted to get in.

Keilani and her cousin Cutler. Keilani LOVES Cutler and would always go looking for him if he wasn't right by her side. She would yell "Cucker," until she found him, it was super cute.

It's not the best picture, but you can see a shark swimming above TG's head.

After the aquarium we stop at the Port of Newport for lunch.

We ate lunch at this little market and it was amazing. Their clam chowder was the best I've ever had. It was so good we had to buy another bowl to take home

Keilani loved the fish and chips.

All the boys decided to rent wetsuits and boogie boards, so they could actually get in the ocean. I'm glad that they did this because it was killing TG not being able to swim in the ocean.

They first tried our beach, but the waves were way too big and would come crashing one after another, so they couldn't get out and ride any. They found a really good beach for boogie boarding, Devil's Punchbowl, which was about 10 minutes away.

TG made a hat out of a grocery sack, so that his head wouldn't freeze when he was in the ocean.

On our way to the airport we stopped in Tillamook for some lunch and ice cream.
