28 reasons why I love TG

Because TG turns 28 today I thought it would be appropriate to come up with 28 reasons why I love TG.

1. He let me sleep in today, on HIS birthday.
2. He makes me laugh every single day.
3. He has no filter which can be a good and a bad thing- he says what's on his mind
4. He puts Keilani to bed every night that he is home.
5. He's a good cook.
6. He LOVES his family and would do anything for them.
7. He brings me a Diet Coke fountain drink on his way home from work and sometimes tries to sneak in caffeine free, but I usually know when he does.
8. He cleans the bathrooms.
9. The second he gets home from work he plays with Keilani.
10. He works really hard to provide for our family.
11. He changes the oil in our cars.
12. He's frugal.
13. He always tells me how beautiful I am, even when my post pregnancy bod isn't very attractive.
14. He has a strong testimony.
15. He is the most non judgmental person I know. I rarely hear him criticize anyone, even people he doesn't know. He's taught me to give everyone the benefit of the doubt.
16. He's a good kisser ;)
17. He's not a picky eater. He'll eat anything I make.
18. He is very involved in parenting our children.
19. His favorite store is Ross.
20. He is very physically active- he plays basketball almost every day. It motivates me to be more physically active.
21. He speaks spanish really well. He will say that he doesn't, but our friend Lawton (who is from Puerto Rico) told me the other day that TG is one of the best (non-Hispanic) spanish speakers he knows.
22. He loves watching and playing sports.
23. He really knows his scriptures. I always feel like I know nothing compared to what TG knows.
24. He is very passionate about his Pittsburgh Steelers and loves to dress our kids in Steelers gear.
25. He's a hottie :) I still find him so attractive.
26. He loves music and knows all the words to most songs.
27. He has a big heart.
28. He's always willing to listen to me and never makes me feel like I'm crazy when I'm clearly acting crazy.

I love you so much TG and don't know what I'd do without you. Thanks for being a wonderful husband and father.

Love, Steph

Here are some cute pictures that I found of TG when he was younger:

TG (on the left) and Tika. I think TG actually pushed Tika in the snow.

TG always tells me how nice he was at soccer when he was a kid.
This is one of my favorite pictures of TG.

1 month old

My little Tau is already 1 month old. These last 4 weeks have really flown by. Keilani loves being a big sister and is constantly wanting to help with baby Tau. The first thing she says when she wakes up is "where's baby Tau?" Tau loves to eat, sleep, and poop. He is starting to stay more awake during the day, which is fun. When he is awake he is very alert. Being a mother of two is definitely exhausting, but I wouldn't change it for the world. I love my little kiddos. We're finally starting to get back to our routine, which makes me happy and a little less crazy. Here are a couple recent pictures of Tau that TG took with his phone.

This one is my favorite. If you're wondering what's going on with Keilani's shirt, she's wearing a life jacket because we were at a hotel and had just gone swimming.

Tau's Blessing

Tau was blessed on Sunday, December 26. It was a little last minute because we wanted to bless him before TG's parents went back to Hawaii and that was the only Sunday they were going to be here. Tika and Carli were so nice to let us have the blessing in their home. TG gave a beautiful blessing. We are so grateful for our family who came and who helped with food. It meant so much to us to have everyone there.

Not the best picture of me and TG, but it's the only one we took of the three of us. Keilani is missing in this picture because she was super cranky from being so sick and wanted nothing to do with any picture.

Christmas 2010

I have been horrible at posting on my blog this last month, but it's honestly been a hectic 3 weeks. I'm going to do a quick recap of the last two weeks. My sister Mindi came in from Tennessee with her family on the 19th and TG's parents, brother, and sister came in from Hawaii on the 20th, so we spent a lot of time hanging out with both families.

We went to Chuck E. Cheese on the 20th to celebrate Keilani and Kamika's birthdays. Keilani loved the rides, but she especially loved the Chuck E. Cheese characters in the band.

Keilani loved her cake.

On the 21st we decided last minute to go up to Logan to watch Tai's first game of the Gossner Classic because everyone in TG's family was already up there except for us. Here is a picture of everyone at the game. Everyone in the Wesley family is in the picture except Russ (he was getting the car) and Steeler who was back in Orem with Carli's sister.

We headed to Park City the next day and met up with my family. We stayed in a huge cabin, but it was up a mountain so we had to ride in a snowcat in order to get up there. That night Keilani started weezing and had a deep cough that sounded like a bark. I could tell that she was getting worse the next day and we were supposed to head back to Logan for Tai's last game in the tournament. Well my wonderful brother, sister, and sister-in-law volunteered to take Keilani and have her spend the night with them. I knew she was in good hands because my sister-in-law Mandy is a nurse practitioner and my sister Mindi is currently in school to become a nurse practitioner. Plus Keilani rarely gets sick, so I thought she would get over this in no time.

The Snowcat

All of us piled in the snowcat waiting for it to take us back down the mountain.
Don't mind my cheesy smile.

Well TG, Tau, and I headed back to Logan and spent the night up there. The next morning, which was Christmas Eve, Mindi called me to tell me that Keilani had a rough night and that she needed to go to the doctor. We quickly drove back down to Utah County. Of course my doctor's office was closed due to the holiday, so we had to take her to Instacare. The place was packed and an hour and a half later we were finally seen. The nurse checked Keilani's oxygen levels and said they were low, but how could they not be when she was screaming bloody murder. Anyway, the doctor said that we had to give her a breathing treatment to get her oxygen levels up and that if they didn't go up then we would have to take her to the hospital. I was freaking out. Luckily Keilani was fine with doing the breathing treatment and her oxygen levels went up. They gave her a steroid and sent us home. After that we went home, took naps, and then headed back to Daren's house for my family's Christmas Eve dinner. I am so grateful for my wonderful family for taking care of Keilani, especially Mandy for staying up with her all night long. I have the best family in the world and honestly don't know what I would have done without them this last month.

Christmas morning Keilani woke up feeling a little better. Luckily she had a good night and didn't have a hard time breathing, but she still wasn't her normal self. We first opened gifts at our house and then headed back to Daren and Mandy's house to open presents with my family. We then headed down to Orem for TG's family party. We had an awesome Christmas dinner and we were spoiled again by TG's parents with more gifts. Here are some pictures from Christmas.

Tau got a ton of Steeler gear from TG's parents.
I don't know who was more excited TG or Tau.

Keilani playing with Grandma Susan. Grandma and Keilani played a little game where they would hide and have someone come find them. Keilani LOVED the game and little did Susan know that she was going to have to play the game 100 more times. Keilani would go up to Susan and say, "I wanna go hide" over and over until Susan would go hide with her.

Keilani is finally feeling better which makes life much nicer for us. Having a sick toddler is miserable. We had such a great Christmas and had so much fun hanging out with our family. I really can't believe the Christmas season is over, it went by so fast this year.
