NCAA Tournament

TG's brother Tai plays basketball for Utah State and they made it to the NCAA Tournament. On Sunday when they were announcing the tournament seeds we were just hoping that Utah State would play close enough for TG and his brothers to go watch Tai. We were so excited when we found out they would play in Boise and even more excited to find out that Tai was able to get enough tickets for the wives to go too. We packed up our car and Keilani and headed up to Boise on Thursday night. This was Keilani's first real road trip. She did great at first, but then she got really bored, so she started to fuss a little. I decided to sit in the back with her, but that was an even bigger mistake because she knew I was there and didn't understand why I just wouldn't pick her up. We pulled over to feed her and once I pulled her out of her car seat she was a happy camper. I fed her and then had to put her back in her car seat again, which she did not like one bit. After about 10 minutes of crying she finally fell asleep until we reached Boise. The game was at 10:30 on Friday morning. They stuck most of the fans and the family members in the higher seats which stunk because we couldn't get very good pictures. The game was awesome and so close. Utah State started out sluggish, but then came out strong after halftime. They ended up losing by 1 point, it was heartbreaking. Tai played awesome and we are so proud of him! I think my favorite thing about the game was watching TG and his brothers cheer. TG is usually pretty calm when watching Tai play, but not in this game. I have never seen TG get so into a game. He was high-fiving strangers, it was hilarious. I ended up making him switch seats with my sister-in-law, Montell, because he was yelling so loud that it was scaring Keilani. By the end of the game TG and Mekeli were sweating as though they had just played in the game. Keilani was extremely excited when the game was finally over. She has gone to almost every one of Tai's home games this year and has loved them, but she absolutely hated this game, mostly because the cheering was so loud and it scared her. After the game we were exhausted and decided to head home, so we could sleep in our own beds. Keilani did much better on the drive back. She was so tired and slept the whole drive home. Though our little trip was cut short, we had so much fun cheering for Tai and being with family.

We sat in the seats on the second level

This isn't a very clear picture, but we were so far up

It was a heartbreaking loss, but I'm glad that you had fun anyway! Keliani looks so cute! I can't believe that she would sit through a whole game! Jason won't even sit through 15 minutes of church!

Keilani looks as cute as ever. She is such a sweetheart. I'm glad you all got to go up to Boise to support Tai. They were so close to winning that game. Hopefully they make it back next year.
