Well Keilani is almost two weeks old and I thought it was about time to post some more pictures of her. These past two weeks have been fun as well as exhausting. Keilani had a little bit of Jaundice, so she had to spend a couple days in a bilibed. The first night was awful. We had to put her on the bilibed in just her diaper. She absolutely hated it and cried the entire night. The next day my sister-in-law, Mandy, gave me a great idea. She explained how to do a bed roll where you roll a blanket and put it around the baby, so they feel secure. It was the best thing ever and Keilani was able to sleep on the bilibed. On Monday the doctor told me that Keilani didn't need the bilibed anymore. My mom stayed with me for about 5 days and she was so great. She would hold Keilani while I caught up on my sleep. She also cooked, cleaned, and did my laundry. I'm so lucky to have such an amazing mom who is always willing to help in any way she can.
Keilani also had her first bath at only 4 days old. The hospital forgot to take off the clamp on her cord, so when we went back to the hospital to have it removed the entire cord came off with the clamp. I thought that Keilani would like her bath, but was I ever wrong. She cried the entire time. I figured it was because she was cold and our bath is too big, so she didn't feel very secure. Since then I have purchased a sponge bath to put it her bath and she has liked bath time a lot more.
At two weeks Keilani sleeps most of the day and then wakes up a couple times during the night. I think she has her days and nights mixed up and I try to keep her up during the day, but it's sometimes impossible. I just hope one of these days she decides that she wants to sleep for longer that 3 hours at a time during the night.

She is such a little cutie!! We are so happy for you guys. Reading this makes me even more anxious to get out little guy here!! And Steph, you look great!!!!
She is absolutely adorable! I can't wait until Christmas when I get to see her again! When are you guys coming up?
Congratulations! She's an absolute doll! What a cutie!
She is so cute! I love her!!! The sleeping thing will just come along. Your can't really teach them to sleep when they are that young. And, waking up every 3 hours isn't that bad! That is about the time she needs to eat. You are doing a good job! Keep it up and just keep loving that little girl. I will be out there in no time at all, and I can watch and hold her while you sleep.
I love you all!!
Steph, she is beautiful! I love her little face. I hope you have a fabulous Christmas!
I love the pic of her after her bath!! She is so dang cute and I love that I get to see her almost every day! (whether you like it or not)
Awww, how cute! Your little baby is so sweet.
Love the pics. She is so beautiful. Love the Christmas onsie. Glad everything is going well. It might take some time, but hopefully she'll start to sleep more. I used this wonderful book call: "Health Sleep Habits, Happy Child" This really helped me figure out how to help them sleep and what their schedule should be.
Good luck!
She is so beautiful. I don't think you know me but I'm a friend of TG's. My name is Nidia. Your daughter is adorable! She reminds me so much of my daughter when she was a newborn. If you ever need any mommy advice don't hesitate to ask. I'm sure you have plenty of help though, especially with TG around. CONGRATULATIONS to all!
Ahhhh...those are so flippin' adorable Steph! I bet you and TG are having so much fun with her. I bet the sleeping habit will slowly change so you can get a little more sleep. What a rough schedule but you look great! I can't wait to come see you.
Congrats! She is a beautiful baby! I am so excited for you guys! It sounds like you're getting everything figured out, so that you can tell me how to be a mom when that ever happens! Merry Christmas!
Well, I echo everyone on here that she is adorable! I can't believe 2 weeks have already gone by! That book Marie mentioned is good, and so is "On Becoming Babywise"...as if you have time to read them with all your spare time! Enjoy your first Christmas with her...they only get more fun as they get older!
She is so sweet. I need to hold her before she gets past the snuggly stage. I am so excited to have a boy, but seeing another baby girl makes me want one. Their little clothes are so cute.
Steph, we missed you at the council get together but I totally understand! What a sweet little girl you have, she is beautiful and obviously very loved. Hope that she soon figures out night and day, for now, enjoy getting up for that quality one on one time.
Steph... oh my gosh that is a beautiful baby girl!! Congrats! We missed you at the little get-together but i'm sure we'll do another one in the near future. Merry Christmas!
oh she is adorable. It's crazy how much they change everyday. I can't wait to see her and you :)
